GASTRO CENTRS introduces Latvia’s first mobile e-health diagnostic station in collaboration with Finnish company MedicubeX!
GASTRO CENTRS has become the first healthcare institution in Latvia to start using a mobile autonomous e-health station, purchasing it from the Finnish medical technology company MedicubeX. This innovation allows patients to independently measure key health indicators, including body temperature, blood pressure, pulse, ECG, and others, in just five minutes.
Ivars Tolmanis, Chairman of the Board of GASTRO CENTRS, emphasizes:
“This collaboration allows us to significantly improve gastroenterology services by integrating real-time vital sign monitoring. Using modern digital technologies, we promote diagnostic accuracy and ensure a higher level of patient care.”
An innovative solution for more effective diagnostics
The autonomous eHealth Station device has been developed to promote early diagnosis of diseases, improve data availability, and reduce the workload of medical staff. It is already operating in test mode at GASTRO CENTER and will be used on a daily basis for primary health data screening for a large proportion of patients from the beginning of 2026.
Taavi Laukkanen, Chief Revenue Officer at MedicubeX, says:
“We are proud to begin our collaboration with GASTRO CENTER, one of the leaders in gastroenterology in the Baltic region. Our solution allows for the standardization of preoperative screening and significantly optimizes the working time of medical staff.”
Technology outside Finland – for the first time in Latvia
This is the first MedicubeX station delivered and installed outside Finland, making Latvia a pilot country for the introduction of innovative e-health solutions in the Baltics.
