Ethical principles

GASTRO CENTRS operates in accordance with strict ethical standards, respecting the interests of patients, the principles of cooperation and treatment established in the medical field, and the Hippocratic Oath taken by medical professionals. In order to reinforce the high professional and moral standards that have long been maintained within the GASTRO CENTRS team, the company’s Ethical Principles were approved by order of the Chairman of the Board in November 2021.

The main ethical principles are:

HONESTY AND FAIRNESS. GASTRO CENTRS activities are characterized by decent, reasoned actions based on mutual trust, which prevent conflicts of interest, the risk of corruption, deception, selfishness, bias, and plagiarism.

RESPONSIBILITY. In our understanding, responsibility means a willingness to fulfill professional obligations, anticipate the consequences of one’s actions, and refrain from actions that could harm professional work, collegial relationships, and patients. Responsibility also applies to self-improvement, acknowledging and correcting mistakes and shortcomings, and resolving disputes through legal means.

PROFESSIONALISM. GASTRO CENTRS employees maintain high standards of work performance – professionalism and responsibility for work efficiency.

EMPLOYEE LOYALTY. Employee loyalty is the foundation of our sustainability. By loyalty, we mean the integration of employees into the GASTRO CENTRS team, conscientious observance and defense of the company’s interests, and promotion of GASTRO CENTRS prestige. GASTRO CENTRS employees are loyal to the company, even when expressing their personal opinions outside of work, including on social media. When expressing their opinion as a representative of the industry or their profession, GASTRO CENTRS employees base their statements on verifiable and provable facts, research, and analysis, and do not engage in activities that could damage GASTRO CENTRS reputation in society.

COLLEGIALITY. By collegiality, GASTRO CENTRS understands:

  • willingness to share your work experience;
  • support for colleagues in clarifying issues they do not understand;
  • refraining from unjustified and behind-the-back criticism of colleagues’ work, job duties, or behavior, if the actions are not criminal and do not violate the ethical principles and requirements of GASTRO CENTRS. Criticism must be open, objective, reasoned, and based only on facts that can be disclosed. Criticism must not be personal or offensive.

RESPECT AND SELF-RESPECT. We treat each other with respect and self-respect. Every GASTRO CENTER employee is obliged to respect their colleagues and patients. Arrogance and showing superiority demonstrate a lack of self-respect, not authority and self-confidence. Self-respect means self-confidence, striving for success and acknowledging failure. Mutual respect includes sensitivity, which is the opposite of intolerance, rude interpersonal relationships, and hasty unfavorable decisions. Ridicule and malicious irony are not acceptable; reprimands must be tactful, without personal insults.

CONFIDENTIALITY. The principle of confidentiality requires us not to disclose personal information obtained in the course of our work. Personal information is any information that is not publicly available and must not be disclosed, either intentionally or unintentionally, to persons who are not entitled to receive it.
